Closed Doors

Right when we are at a pivotal moment in our life, there slams a door! Unsure of what lies ahead. I believe God steps in to first remind us that he is in control, and secondly he is in control. When he closes one door in our lives, he has a plan to open another. I believe God sometimes has to forcefully close certain doors in our lives in order to protect us from complacency, and a plethora of other things. God is always calling us higher, calling us to the next season of learning and growing always, its a never-ending pursuit. God wants and desires for us to live a live free from fear, and uncertainty. But his plan is for us to live with constant TRUST that he has our best interest at heart.

In Jeremiah 29:11 it talks about God knowing his plan for each and every one of our lives. Not only does he know the plans but his intentions for closed doors during that plan. That closed door has a purpose dear. His intention for the journey is not to harm us, but to bring us hope, and an expected end. That hope is when we start hoping and trusting in our own abilities, instead of relying solely on God, that's why it says to give you Hope, he wants our hope in him alone! You see hope means a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen, we get to hand this completely over to God. When that door closes we can rest assure knowing God is in control.

Lastly there's that expected end. Even with a closed door it was always about being in position. One step off can take us of course holding up purpose from being fulfilled. God has an expected end for every season of our lives. He will uproot situations, circumstances, habits, patterns, relationships, jobs, whatever he has to in order to officially close that door. Sometimes even when we are not ready. But it wasn't to harm us but to open the door to the next season of grace, and open up the floodgates to his unfailing plan to arrive to his destiny for our lives. So this is why we can be thankful for closed doors because they propel us into the very will of God.

Until next time loves
