Stepping Into The New

Philippians 3:13 says, "No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it,[a] but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead" (New Living Translation)

There's nothing like walking away from something from our past, that was a consistent barrier. It's that voice in our head that continues to remind, condemn, and promote who we once were. It's a constant struggle to be hopefully that who we optimistically want to be, we can be.

If we begin to refocus! In Philippians it says, "Focus on one thing, forgetting the past and look forward to the future."

Ways to Refocus:

I know when we say, "forget it," it seems challenging, or not possible. So I say you may not forget the exact circumstance, but you will REMEMBER THE LESSON. If you remember a few BLOGS ago I wrote, "I need you to grow from this!" God's is very intentional about every season of our lives. I believe he intended us to view each season as subways used to pull guidance, and strength from. This may be a time to stop and do some evaluating. What happened? Own your mistakes? What adjustments can WE make?

It's a golden opportunity to grow. Growth comes from recognizing our own issues, and struggles. Once we recognize then we have a chance to modify our actions, behaviors, ways of thinking, habits, etc in accordance to the word of God. We have an AH HA MOMENT this is where I missed it. Then we began to heal, and move forward into the new.

So withhold the detrimental feelings, and beliefs that surround your past! If we continue to dwell on them #1 We won't grow #2 We miss out on the opportunity to receive God's full blessing.

Start positively injecting your thought process on who, why, and what you will become. Start silencing any voice that speaks against who you believe God has called you to be. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says, " [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ."(AMP)

This is not a game, and it can not be take it lightly. The enemy, and life is coming for your head. Don't just sit there and allow the enemy to speak those lies into your ear!! Refute them!!!!! Do you believe who God called you to be? This is the moment to remind the enemy, who you are, and who you belong to. Then take those thoughts and TELL THEM to BOW DOWN to the WORD OF GOD The enemy comes to destroy, and argue every valid point that God has given us about our lives.

Filter your thoughts with plans of your future self. Then with everything in you speak it, own it!! Jeremiah 29:11 (may fav scripture that I use, and use, and use) states, "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.(NKJV). I ask you where is your hope? It's in the new!!! You can't have it in the past, you won't see it. It will look dim, and blurry. But when you step into the new. Something comes over you like flood. God enriches your soul, and your spirit man comes alive in the new!!

Rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in anything that opposes or influences you away from God's will. STEP INTO THE NEW!!! It's waiting for you to abandon your old self, to walk into God's newness that awaits you!!! Be blessed love you!!! Until next time!!!
